My story
Maciej Traczyk

I'm addicted to value creation. Ever since I was a little kid. I remember getting a toy shop for X-mas when I was 6. I was so excited I had fever! I was making toy stuff to sell (for real money) to my family.
When I was 13 I co-founded my first business. Together with Hubert, a childhood friend, we would spend hours writing game tutorials, and recording Atari and Commodore games on tapes. Each Saturday we would go to a local computer geeks fair and set up our stall. It was magical to receive real money in exchange for our efforts.
Then I was running a language school. We went from one location to seven in the course of 2 years.
Next came Toyota. It was fascinating to learn the Toyota Production System from the best practitioners in Japan and help translate this know-how and mindset into Polish reality.
I started doing consulting work. Went to an American company to do a business process optimization project. Stayed for 18 years. The company got split into several businesses. We were sold, bought, span out, merged, rebranded three times. Rollercoaster of a journey, lots of lessons for me.
In the meantime, my consulting projects got bigger and more important. I was also asked by a VC fund to help with some of their portfolio companies.
And then, one day, I was in a room with a founder and her investor. The founder had sold the majority stake in her company to the investor. She was supposed to get a huge payout over time. 3 years' earn-out. COVID hit, the business was derailed, she never saw another penny. All the hard work, years of sacrifices - for nothing.
That was when I decided to do whatever I can to make sure this never happens to any entrepreneur I support.
You see, I think entrepreneurs are the modern-day heroes. They create jobs, pay taxes, support communities, generate tremendous value for the society. They should reap the benefits and secure future for their families.
My mission is to help entrepreneurs reach the level of sellable company: maximum valuation with no earn-out.

Succession
If you’re a business owner, chances are a lot of the decisions are with you. Intentionally planning your own succession allows you to spend more time with your family and friends, and enjoy what life’s got to offer.
